So This Is What Happened yesterday

I went to a teacher's meeting today for my homeschool group.  It's the first one since before summer started so it was exciting to see people again.  Although, certain Drama Club people were missing (gasp).  But that's not something to gasp at.  What's really to gasp at is Z-man's (most commonly known in drama club as game guy) new hair cut.  Originally his hair was down to his shoulders...or at least the last time I saw him it was.  But now it's at a normal guy's hair length.  Which, it hasn't been that short since I can't remember.  But Muppet also has a stunning new haircut and dye.  SO PRETTY!!!  It makes me wish I were blonde.  But the only blonde I ever have is my stupidity at times lol.  And the paint color in my room called blonde.

I also got the chance to see someone I have not gotten to see in years.  Literally.  I haven't seen her since 6th grade or something like that.  But we talked some at the beginning.  Ha ha!  And she still owns chickens.  My mother always wanted chickens when our deed restrictions went up but then they decided to say that you can't have farm animals unless their so-and-so yards away from the edge of your property yadda yadda.  Basically, if we wanted chickens, lambs, goats, cows etc., etc., etc. they would be living on our dining room table.  I doubt anyone would want a chicken staring at them while chowing down on KFC takeout.

So after I talked with her a while I felt obligated to meet and get to know Muppet's friend who, for safety precautions, will just go by H for the time being.  H kind of reminds me of the shyer version of Muppet.  She has plenty of siblings of whom I don't remember all their names.  But a couple of them came over to our little friend group (Muppet, H, and I) and drew random doodles in my doodle book.  H preceded to draw strange and cute creatures in my doodle book while I demonstrated what Cosmo Pluff from my new DS game looks like.  We mostly talked and listened to Francesca Battistelli, of whom H has both CD's of so we both knew what we were singing.

After the teacher's meeting ended we left H to go to our History co-op at the community college.  We discussed our history questions and answers after eating our lunch in the lunchroom there.  During this time my older sister went to her class and my brother read a random book.  So they were both preoccupied.

After history co-op we all went to Rita's to eat Italian ice.  Everyone except me seemed to have gotten mint chocolate chip, I choose lemonade because I felt very warm and sticky from the heat.  Also, lemons supposedly relieve stress.  Or at least smelling lemons does.

We went home and I finished up my history and TLP for the day and we went to Zumba...at Gold's Gym.  We have memberships now which is great because LA Fitness basically abducted all the fun out of Lifestyles.  Gold's Gym has a much warmer feel to it than Lifestyles does.  Maybe it has to do with the colors being so warm in there, but it just seems like a nicer, bigger, happier place than Lifestyles was when the LA Fitness stuff was taking over.  The instructor is pretty easy to follow and she has a great choice in music too.

Overall, yesterday was fun.  But now I'm a little sad because Muppet is going to California for a while.  But she'll be back soon enough.  In the meantime, next week is the first day of Drama Club.  So I'll be having fun with H that day.  But, unfortunately, I'm going to be quitting our homeschool group's Drama Club for a while because I'm already going to be using all of my leftover time to do the drama club at the community theater.  Plus, Drama Club isn't even going to be doing any performances of any sort for a while.  I'm not going to miss Muppet there because I'm already doing school with her plus we'll probably have a good share of opportunities to get together this year anyways.  I'll see the rest of Drama Club at the other teacher's meetings.  I'm sure I'll join it again eventually, but I don't have the time to do something so committing of my time right now.

Stuff is Normal...Especially Random Stuff

Stuff, like the sock monkey on Super Scribblenauts!  Speaking of which, I have a new DS game by 5th cell.  I think I've decided that 5th cell makes some of the best DS games (the other best games are Nintendo and any of the Lego games).  This game is called Drawn to Life.  But apparently it's a sequel to another game called Drawn to Life.  Mine has a subtitle thing:  The Next Chapter.  So obviously there was a prequel to this one, but it doesn't really matter too much.  Oh and just saying, I got Drawn To Life: The Next Chapter at GameStop for only $6, used.  So if you're interested in it, I highly suggest getting it.  In my opinion, the game is worth more than $6 used (but I'm NOT complaining).

I described the game in terms of other video games.  It has a storyline that reminds me of the long story lines in Pokemon and the Raposa (the little creature like villagers) look like Pokemon in a way, but cuter.  They remind me of Anime gerbils or something.  But you get to draw your character which reminds me of MS Paint.  But you don't just get to draw your hero person, you get to draw every other object in it.  From gears to hovering platforms to your hero's blob form to weapons, you design everything.  Well, not everything, but you know what I mean.  And at some points in time you get to color in colorless buildings.  This part reminds me of De Blob because all the color gets drained from the villages and you have to color them using color drops.  But after you color a building, you can go into a level which reminds me of Mario if he had a sword, a gun, and a slinky thing.  You can jump on the bad guys and destroy things.  But the way the level looks reminds me more of Starfy.  I liked that when you first start the game, the credits are so interesting you have to watch them.  I don't like having to watch boring credits that you can't skip.  If it won't let you skip the credits, they should at least be interesting.  And these ones had this piece of the story showing a certain Raposa named Heather, who reminds me of two face from Batman.

I won't spoil the story for you because you probably want to play it now.  My brother looked up the first game and kindly told me what I didn't know from the prequel.  But he was nice enough not to spoil the storyline of this one for me when he looked up the sequel.

My character in the game looks kind of like this:

Except in the actual game, her ears look better and she's cuter.  Especially when she's killing Baki (the minion like bad guys) with a mouse sword, a cheese blaster, or in her Cosmic Rocket.  Which (by the way) shoots toast and mice.  Some of my platforms are pizza, egg rolls, chilly peppers, loaves of bread, burritos, or tacos.  She also has a surf board that looks like Sunny.  And a hamburger mine cart with pickle wheels.  You should see it.  It's the best six dollars I've spent on anything!  Seriously.  It's a good game.

My Best Friend is a Rainbow Kitty Cat

Now what I really wanted to blog about was my last post...er...the post before the Winnie the Pooh post.  Yeah, the crazy one.  I don't think you are really reading those long rambling posts.  So just to sum up that post for you (so you don't have to go through the trouble of reading that whole thing), it's impossible for me to combine my ideas into one single story.

You know how I can't ever finished any task I assign myself?  It shows in my blog because there are several past posts that I say, well I'm going to add this to my blog, and I'm going to this ___of the day, and I'll post pictures and stories and garbage from my computer so that the world will understand and...it doesn't really work.  The only sure thing about this blog is that I'll always post regularly unless I say otherwise.  But I remember back in the beginning of this blog, I was all like, "I'm going to blog everyday!" and then I couldn't.  Because I'm a busy girl.  In fact I probably should go and write a summery for my science experiment right now.  But I'm not going to because I read one chapter in the Scarlet Letter and answered the rest of my history questions this morning.

I want to post more music, but I can't get myself to go on YouTube.  I don't feel like searching for things online right now.

Look at that!  I lied.  I realized that I did have an urge to look something up.  It needed to happen.  Eventually.  Because this is such a cute song and now that I've seen the music video, I have to agree that it's adorable.  I blogged I while ago about this song and I wrote the chorus' lyrics because I loved the song so much.  It's called Don't Have Love by Holly Starr.  The whole thing is just adorable.  The tune, the lyrics, the music video; heck, even the song writer has an awesome name.  Not that I don't (tee hee).  But you'll never know my real name...except if you actually know me.  But this is getting off subject!  Well, then again, when does this blog ever stay on top of things.

Main point:  I love music and I had the courage to go on YouTube today so that I could find my (new) favorite song.  I can't just say this is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE or something in bold, because I love so many good Christian music.  And I don't really care if people think I'm psycho because I don't listen to anything new besides whatever they have on Spirit FM.  People really aren't writing very good music anymore anywhere else.  I mean, some of the stuff on Christian Radio (in my opinion) is dragging a little more lately.  I mean, there is a lot this year that's good and catchy and like, but most recently, I haven't really been jumping when the radio says "New Release" or something.  But I have to say that, if I had an Ipod, I would purchase this song off of ITunes.  But I have a MP3 that has an almost full memory and I don't know how to take songs off of.  So I'm stuck with whatever junk I put on it three or four months ago.  But at least I think I know what I'm getting for Christmas this year.

I'm also sad that my speakers aren't working for some reason.  Stupid technology.  Everything looks the same: phones look like Ipods, Ipods look like Tablets, Tablets look like Ipads, Ipads look like miniature flat-screen HD TV's, HD TV's look like 3D TV's.  Soon our world will be paved in electronic, touch-screen, tiles.  I hope DS's don't turn into little dual screen tiles.  I think I would cry.  Not that we even own that sort of technology, nor do I care right now for it.  I wonder when they'll move from flat surfaces to round balls.  Then people will be kicking balls to call their friends and burn calories at the same time.  They already make ice cream machine kick balls so my idea isn't too far fetched.  Well maybe it is but anyways.

Oh and if you are interested in finding out more about Holly Starr (like I do) go here:  http://hollystarrmusic.com/about/

I love it when people use the gift of music to spread the word of God, it's so touching.  Not just Holly, but people like Jamie-Grace, Matt Maher, Matthew West, Stephen Curtis Chapman, and Francesca Battistelli, to name a few.  Speaking of Jamie-Grace, I still have an unsigned picture of her.  Maybe I'll get it signed by her one day.  I love day dreaming.  With imagination you can fly when you're grounded, travel the world while you remain in your bedroom, walk when you know you can't even stand...But sometimes imagination can be a terrible thing, you can see the worst that hasn't even happened yet, hurt yourself on words you don't mean, rest in a past of pain...The worst thing about imagination is also the best, sometimes you can't control your thoughts and sometimes you can.

Wow, I've said a lot.  I guess this is what happens when Muppet's not here for me to pester her with my strange ideas and theories or whatnot.  I'm going to go do something constructive.

Winnie the pooh song parody

Deep in the corners of outer space
Where Ewoks love to play
You'll find a hideout and a base
where stormtroopers ruin the day

the fellow Han Solo is his friend
and Leah and little Luke
there's Obi and Lando
then there's Yoda
but most of all Wookie the Chew!
Wookie the Chew
Wookie the Chew
the guy that stormtroopers love to chase
He's Wookie the Chew
Wookie the Chew
Floating 'round in outer space!

Writing, writing, writing...

Some of my favorite moments of a story is the really emotional parts or the suspenseful parts.  But I also love the sullen quieter parts where the character is trying to figure a puzzle out.  Not the jigsaw kind!  But the questions floating in the character's mind.  I also love it when an author describes something that doesn't seem to have any other importance in the book until the character vitally needs that piece of information.  I like writing, but write now (oops, punny typo!) I'm just writing all of these tidbits to learn how to use different techniques and, also, just to encourage myself to write more so that I can get better.  I'm thinking about trying to attach some of the tidbits I'm writing together so that maybe they'll have a storyline, clearer characters, and better descriptions.  My biggest problem writing is that I often write about children or teenagers who go to public school which I, myself, do not.  I've known people who go to public school but it doesn't help me know what I'm writing about.  And they never seem to have homework really.  And in most schools, especially high schools and middle schools, most kids don't even have time to do much besides eat dinner, finish up homework, and go to bed.  So I solve my problems by making it summer and they're all on vacation.  Or they have to get away from school somehow.  One of my characters quite literally ran away from home in one of my various, unfinished novel-wannabes.  Before that situation, she just called in sick multiple times.  And for a very insufficient reason.  Or maybe it was.  But that doesn't matter because that story was one of my first and most flawed works.  Not that my others are not.  But instead of continuing like I should, I just try again.  I keep thinking about maybe combining all of my ideas into one document but now that I've spent to much time avoiding my idea, there are too many various story and plot lines.  The only way it could work well would be that all of my "real world" characters get sucked into a fantasy world by the ultimate evil villain of all time who has a great amount of followers and minions from my different documents.  Some of the supposed-to-be-good forces could join the villains and the rest of my fictional fellows could come together to destroy the ultimate evil.  Then I would tie some sort of moral issues into it that are answered from the bible and thus leaving the reader completely utterly incapable of contemplating what just happened.

Main audience says, "What?"

Which is entirely my point it might be great but most likely it would just end up at the bottom of my files, titled, "Worst--Story--EVER"  But if something is named "worst story ever" it leads the reader to want to pick it up even more to find out what makes it such a terrible story.  Wouldn't they be scarred for life?  They probably wouldn't be able to get past the first three chapters.  But that is, if I did write this "worst story ever" and then there would be that one person out there who either knows me really well or is crazy who would say something about how great it is and then I would publish it with that one quote on the back, "BEST--Story--Ever".  There goes my writing career.  Assuming that I wrote this novel.  Which I won't because I'm smart enough to know the consequences.

I'm not saying that I couldn't combine a couple of my stories together, I'm just saying that it's insane to think that a story could contain three good fairies, a rock monster, several teenagers with depressing life stories, a super hero, a pair of twin giants, an elf, two smart chipmunks, a princess, McCavity's evil minions of Doom, a weird surfer, some funky person who thinks she can fly, several pairs of twins, lots of single parents for some reason or another, an evil fairy, and quite a few other strange wonders including two people who think they can fly.  Oh and one person who can read minds.  So no.  You will probably never find a crazy, disconcerting novel like that with my name on it.  Live with it.  Trust me, one crazy person is enough for one book, we don't need three, four, or even five psychological people in a book.

Have I said enough?  Well, hopefully I didn't say too much.  Now that you know how crazy my unfinished writings are, take a look:

“Mom!  Do you know where we keep the buttermilk?” said Jackie sticking her head in the refrigerator.  Now that it was summer, the heat was unbearable.  She could use any excuse to feel some cool air on her sweating face.
“In the garage refrigerator, bottom shelf.  Why?”  Her mom said from her computer chair where she was filing things that Jackie didn’t care about.
“No reason.” She said shutting the refrigerator doors.  She walked into the living room and picked up the remote.  She flipped the TV on to channel 52 grabbed a gossip magazine off the floor and flopped on the couch, propping her feet up on the coffee table where a mug of coffee sat.  She picked up the glass with her toes, passed it to her left hand which then tipped the dark, bitter liquid down her throat as she took a long refreshing sip.
“How can you do that?” asked her mom looking up from her work, “It’s ninety degrees outside and you still drink your hot coffee like it’s lemonade!”
“You’re just jealous!” Jackie laughed as she took another long gulp.
“Whatcha watchin” she said as she stretched from fingertips to toes.
“Oswald Channel.  Recently the shows have been getting less interesting.  Like, they have a show called My Mother’s a Vampire.  I think the vampire theme should have run out by now.  It’s been two whole years since Dawn Light came out.”
“Are you planning on doing anything this summer?”
“Like what?” Jackie took a third and final swig of her coffee and tossed her magazine to the floor.
“I don’t know…Like taking up a new hobby.  Go play outside more, something like that; instead of frying your brain in front of the TV or computer all day.”
“Ahem…” Jackie said hinting to the fact that her mother spent a lot of time on the computer herself.
“Well, you know that what I’m doing is putting a roof over your head and air conditioning for the house.” Her mom got up from her spot at the computer and clasped her hands over her head as she stretched from fingertips to toes.
“Okay, I guess I’ll go outside for a while…”  She switched the TV off and slid her feet into some blue flip-flops and pulled her hair back into a ponytail that she had kept around her wrist, “Only if I can have a popsicle.”
“Certainly; would you like a lemon or cherry?  We only have two left.” Said her mother walking towards the freezer.
“Hmm…  Cherry.”
“All righty.” She said throwing the red one towards Jackie.  She caught it up in one hand, squeezed the rapper to form a bubble in one end and hit the bulging part with the other hand causing the popsicle to burst out of its casing.  Jackie then snatched it up one-handedly and took a large bite out of the frozen treat.   “You’re so weird…In a good way.  Well, you have fun outside.  Love you Sweetie.”
“Love you too.  I’ll be back in an hour.”  She walked into the hallway and looked at herself in the mirror there.  She looked at the odd scar on her forehead.  She had no idea where it came from but it annoyed her how big and obvious it was.  It was about the width and length of her pinky and went down at an angle.  When she got sunburned on her forehead, it stung.

This is an example of some of my good writing.  I sort of edited it early last month (I think that's right) and enhanced it with more descriptions and I fixed a few things to make it sound better and more real.  If anyone out there has any (kind) advice on making this better or any questions or comments, please feel free to do so.  I need to edit my tidbits more now because Frances is spelled Francis when it shouldn't be.  Adios, tu poco burritos!

Well, as for school...

Bleh.  And it's even more irritating that my science (later on) looks like another math book.  I think they pay people to sneak in uninteresting subjects into other uninteresting subjects to make the beholder even more uninterested.  Might I use uninterested once more?  I thought not.

Well, on the subject of words, I think it's stupid that my Total Language Plus book would give me two words that I think most people should know: indubitably and commiserate.  Like, seriously, I'm reading the Scarlet letter, I'm certain there are plenty of other unknown words to use...Like phantasmagorical!  I just had to look that one up.  Look, the definition is:

"A series or group of strange or bizarre images seen as if in a dream"

I gave that one to you on a silver plate just in case you don't feel like looking such a large word up.  My school is a lot of reading right now.  I'll be getting into writing essays, papers or what not later.  I don't mind writing papers very much.  I love to write.  But the only reason I don't like writing for school is there are so many boundaries.  Most of them I understand and they do make my paper look professional but sometimes I think that too many rules boxes you in along with chaining up your creative use.  The best papers, books, or essays are the ones that look like the person enjoyed writing them.  If the author enjoyed writing that document, then the enthusiasm really shows in their work.  I can re-read things I've written and tell when I was bored with my idea and wanted to stop writing.  I can also tell when I loved writing a specific part so much that the details are vivid and the colors are clear and the emotion is beautifully shown.  I love to write because I love showing people my thoughts bright and clearly as if they were thinking it instead of me.  I love the kind of books where you can just picture everything as if in a movie but even deeper because then you can feel what the other character is feeling.

That's part of the reason why all of those books with the winding and confusing words aggravate me.  I read slowly to begin with and it's even harder for me to have to stop for every sentence and think about what it means.  Which is okay to a point, but if I'm sitting there for an entire five minutes and still don't get it, it's a waste of time to read.  But I do like to stop while reading books and just reflect on everything I've read so far.  Just be in the moment with your favorite characters.

I think I've blogged enough about writing.  If I don't stop now, I'll never stop writing about writing and books and writing books.  In fact I probably could write a book on writing books!  I should stop before you get too confused and decide to read some other person's blog.

So apparently Taylor Swift is making a new album called Red.  The lead single (according to often inaccurate Wikipedia) isn't as good as some of her other songs.  Well, I don't really care because how good a song is is a complete opinion.  But I haven't heard anything new lately so I don't know what her new stuff sounds like.

I was thinking of posting music since that's something I haven't done in a while.  There's this one song by J.J. Heller I like but it's not on the album that jesusfreakhideout shows.  I was going to look it up but I think I forgot what the title is.

Well this post has been long enough.  So bye-bye kitten pie!

Bible verse of the week

Acts 17:26:

He made from one the whole human race to dwell on the entire surface of the earth, and he fixed the ordered seasons and the boundaries of their regions...

Now I have to memorize it.  :) silly history.

Random Posting

This morning I was busy writing meaningful junk on Word.  I've been writing this thing that was basically a whole bunch of tidbits of something that could be a story but all the tidbits are are me writing down my greatest ideas.  I was tired of writing a story in a specific order so I started doing my whole tidbit thing and it's a lot more fun.  Not to mention I have over 10 pages of blabbering.  But really all this story is about is these teenagers wind up in this fairytale world which an evil fairy is taking over.  One of the teenagers (named Jackie) was originally a princess of this fairytale world (there her name is Princess Butterfly) but when the evil fairy tried to take over the land and kidnap Butterfly, three other fairies protected her by sending her into the human world where she is found and adopted by a couple.  She grows up with them and because she was so young when the whole evil fairy thing happened she doesn't realize that her memories are more than just dreams she had.  Jackie doesn't even know she's adopted yet, only that some creepy person keeps following her around.  That person turns out to be the evil fairy who sends Jackie to the fairytale land.

Somehow (I'm still trying to figure somethings out with this) the other people at her school get transported to fairytale land as well.

Some of the people at her school include:

Julia-her sometimes loopy friend.

Frances--the shy nerd.  One of the kindest most understanding people in the school and can also for some reason read minds.

Electra--the misunderstood bully who mostly picks on Frances out of jealousy.

Harmony and Zoe--Electra's companions. The three act as a family when their families do not.

Franky--Frances' twin brother who is even smarter than Frances and so is a grade ahead of her.

Well, I'm working on making it better so I'll blog again when things start taking shape.  Plus school is starting for me tomorrow and I have a lot of it.

It Rained

When I was little I used to think that when it rained, it was God crying for someone.

This Week

I'm going to Muppet's house tomorrow.  So we can talk about things we never talked about during Drama Camp because there was no time to do so.  It's funny how often you can see a person and still not get to talk to them.

We're also planning on watching Hairspray (because Muppet has never seen it), Avatar (because I've never seen it), and Mario Karting and such.  Probably surf the internet.  You know, the usual things we do.  She'll paint my nails, I'll find a way to mess them up and then she'll have to fix 'em up again.  We'll bake something, cook dinner maybe, laugh at how ridiculous we are, laugh at the TV when it's being ridiculous, laugh at the clock because it's being ridiculous (Hey, it can't be 1:00 in the morning yet!).  You get the picture.  Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Vacation wasn't too overwhelmingly exciting.  The manatees decided to be shy, but one of them breathed on my feet.  I got yet another sunburn (I still don't have a tan), saw crabs popping into their holes one the beach, ate at a sea food restaurant, and watched the end of Time Line.  I only saw the end but it didn't look too interesting to me from what I saw of it.

Well, I'm going bowling now, so toodles!

It's over...:(

Last year if I had posted something, it would have said something like "It's over...:D" but for some reason, this year it was different.  The people were so beautiful (inside and out; but inside especially) and so generous.  The instructors told me that they wanted me to come back and audition.  Nobody has told me that before.  I don't think I got as many goodbyes last year as I did this year.  And now I'm pretty positive that that theater is where I belong for now.  That's the place for me to audition at.  I just know it's there.  This place is IT.  And the people, the people are so sweet.  I handed my folder around and practically everyone signed it.  There were lot's of hearts and smiley faces and the sweetest things said on it.  It just showed me that not only the instructors but also the kids want me to come back.  I'm just so flattered right now.  I'm going to keep that folder for a very long time.  But it reminds me of how many people out there do care about me when I'm down.

The performance was a blast and everything went well.  Everyone loved us old weeping ladies and we loved everyone back (lol even the "Evil Queen").  The Host tripped at one point but it really only added to the humor and it was a too obvious trip.  It was a hilarious performance and everyone enjoyed.  Now after all that hard work, I think it's time for some well deserved rest and a vacation but I promise I'll be back soon.  I'll try to blog Thursday or (if it's possible and depending on the time) Wednesday, but stay tuned for more lights, camera, action!

Oh and for those who are new to this blog, if you like my blog you may also enjoy Muppet's blog: The Whimsical Mind of Muppet the Mophead.  Just saying.  It's a pretty good blog too.  And for something more spiritual I suggest my sister's blog: Stitches and Scribbles.  Or my other sister's blog (If you're a foodie): Juniper's table.

That's all for now!  Curtain call and bow.

The Early Bird Gets a Haircut

Okay so the title of this post may be more amusing than what I've actually got to say.  So yeah, I woke up kinda early today but, oh my gosh, it feels like I slept way later than normally.  It's 7:30 in the morning and I usually get up around 7:00 so I guess I did sleep in a little.  For me.  But I can't sleep because every time I get comfortable my head buzzes with the same old stuff.  Or new stuff.  If you're me it's old because my brain has been doing this for two weeks.  It's like an early alarm or something.  My brain just says, "TIME TO GET UP!  You've got places to go and plays to perform so GET UP." So, as usual, I gave up trying to roll over and fall asleep.  It'll be better next week I think, especially because I won't have to wake up early with butterflies in my stomach.  Stupid butterflies.  They always attack on the day of a performance, whether it be something small or something HUGE.  But I can assure you as soon as my feet touch the stage and I'm sitting cross-legged in my spot on the set, it will magically melt away.

I assume you've probably guessed that today is the day of my performance, but I haven't been telling you about what happened before today.  Actually I don't think I've made a blog post all week.  I thought that a blog post would calm my nerves.  When I talk, I feel better.  I don't know why but it's just relief to say the things that are blotching my mind.

Mostly this week we blocked some things, played some games, went to the park, ran through the whole play several times, tech day, dress rehearsals and the assistant director finally went over my monologue with me and I apparently did very well.  Or at least that's what I think because he didn't correct me too much, but then again, we didn't have much time to do that sort of thing because we had to get costumes on and stuff for dress rehearsals.  But I feel really good about my monologue and now I feel like I'm ready to audition for things in the future.  Well not entirely because I only have the music from this year's performance to work with at the moment but we'll find something for my voice type eventually.  I like musicals, because I love singing.  I'm not always on tune when I start singing a new song but I get the hang of it eventually and then I really feel fabulous.  And then there are all the people who think I have beautiful voice (not just my mother, people).  But for me, it's not that I have a good voice, for me it's that I can use it well without hurting myself on higher notes like other people can and that I can sing loudly and softly and clearly.  For me I think it's more important that you're words are loud and clear than that you're voice is beautiful.  But also I think it's great if you can hit all those notes that no one else can.  But it's good to not be a showoff when singing, even if you can sing like Jean val Jean in Les Miserables.  Everyone can sing, they just need practice.  Really, anyone can do just about anything with some practice.  So don't make people feel less than you.  But on the other hand, don't put yourself down to make others look better.  Just do your best and don't overdue it.

Have you noticed that a lot of my titles only match up with the first sentence and then goes in an entirely different direction?

Huh?

I can't remember what I was blogging about last time that I wanted to continue today.  All I remember is that I was blabbering about music.  That's very much like me.  I haven't been myself this week much.  I've felt awful especially physically.  I've been sick, thanks to Muppet.  But I kind of wouldn't have changed the circumstances if I went back in time and did it again.  She needed me that day.  I could tell because of her mood.  She's not usually irritated with me for no reason.  But being sick, she wasn't in the mood to do things that I felt like doing.  It was all fine though because I found it nice to have a relaxing day watching Sherlock Holmes and Stranger Tides with her.

Besides being sick, I'm not feeling myself today for other personal reasons and because I can't sleep comfortably with a stuffed up nose.  I alter served a beautiful wedding for one of our many church friends.  And Mrs. Mo was at the wedding reception.  That lasted until four o' clock in the afternoon.  We came home I blogged, watched TV, emailed my friend, ate a lovely dinner, watched Dolphin Tale, and went to bed.  I still feel yucky today.  I'm going to my grandparent's house today anyways, though...

ADIOS AMIGOS!!!

It's kinda been a while...

How long has it been since my last blog post?  A year?  Oh it was only a few days ago.  Lord, it feels like ages.  But I guess that's what happens when you go to Drama Camp for so much of your day and so much of your week.  I feel like I live there.  Except when I come home for dinner and go to bed.  Then I wake up and TA DA!  Drama again!  So things have been happening there.  Everyone knows who they are in the script and hopefully this weekend people are memorizing their lines.  I know my lines and I think I know when to say them.  And as for music, I left one of my sheets at Drama Camp on accident but it's the one I know already.  And for proof, I'll write the lyrics:

Now yer here, yes yer here like a perfumed smell, like a skunk living under the house.  And we've had enough of yer chirping spells yer a flower pickin' nature loven', song singin', lily white, (repeat from flower... but I'm not singing). *Repeat again this time I sing but instead of lily white say: sissified, dainty---do-gooder...

Yeah, so that's that.  They told us to go home and practice it faster but I was one of the people who already knew the speed of the song so I'm not worried about that.  Once while practicing, I lost the key starting note and I couldn't pick it up again during that part of the song.  I know the key, I just kind of slipped up and forgot.  It was embarrassing but I knew my singing luck couldn't last forever.  When I came home that night I was thinking about singing it but my voice was acting up from all of the coughing I was doing that day from phlegm.  But the next day I sang it without the music sheet and did well.  I just want the sheet so if I decide to do a real musical somewhere and audition I will have some sort of music I'm familiar with using.  Which, I think I've said this before, I can't read musical notes.  I explained to to Muppet as being like handing a Japanese person an American English dictionary and telling them to look up the word vocabulary.  Obviously they can't do that.  And obviously if you hand me a music sheet and tell me to look up musical note high C I wouldn't be able to find.  Now, continuing with my example, if you tell the person to say that word he looked up while you're pointing to it, he won't know how to say it.  Like me, I can't sing that note because I have no idea what it sounds like because I don't know what the note is.  But that person can look at the word and know it's a word.  I know that what you're pointing to is a musical note, I don't know how to pronounce it.  But if you tell the person how to say it (voe-cab-yu-lair-ee) he will know. He won't know what the definition of the word is but he can repeat it.  If you sing a high C, I don't know it's a high C but I can mimic the note you just sang.  I can sing, but I can't read music.  Get it now?

I never learned how to read music because I was much more interested in dance at the time I had the opportunity.  I'm not complaining.  I'm 100% just telling you why I'm not capable of reading music.  I think I'm good right now with just knowing how to sing.  I taught myself kind of.  I'll explain in another post.  The TV is distracting me from my thoughts...

ACHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yes, I'm sick today.  If you didn't notice from the title.  That's part of the reason why I didn't blog yesterday.  Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away...now it looks as though they're here to stay...Anyways.  Sorry, I get carried away when it comes to singing.  Not that I was actually was singing.  But speaking of singing, I came up with my own version of I Could Have Dance All Night.  It goes like so:

I could have slept all night
I could have slept all night
and still have slept some more.

I could have slept away
the entire day
and still have slept for sure.

But really, yesterday I had auditions.  And either it was because I mentioned that I was good at playing crazy granny's or they just thought that it was a better part for me, I'm going to be Weeping Old Lady 2.  2?  That sounds familiar...Ah!  I was Guard TWO in Jerusalem's Most Wanted.  It's reminding me of two different parts I've had in my life, the character Tilly McBride from Muppet's script of A Murder By Any Other Name Would Still Be Wrong and the part of Guard two mentioned above.  I think Tilly McBride is my ultimate favorite character I've ever been.  I mean, she was a little strange of a character, but in a good way.  I loved her crazy self.  I think Muppet should write part two to that.  Then a close second would be my character from How to Eat Like a Child in the song How to Torture your Sister.  But I think I might like my role as a Weepy Old Lady better than Olivia in the short film we did with Drama Club.  No offense to the writer at all.  It's just my opinion because she was least like me.  But then again, I'm not very good at playing silly, boy-obsessed girls.  But I think I know what my strengths are in characters and my weaknesses in them.  I like funny, crazy people.  But even when I think back to the days when I was playing Littlest Pet Shop with my sisters, I was always a crazy bad guy.  Often a cat.  But enough of that.
