I have nothing to say anymore...

I just can't seem to think about anything now...Well, I'm sick so that might explain some of it.  Stuffy nose for me equals stuffy brain.  But nothing new and exciting has been happening besides me having a cold.  I guess I would be able to say more if I didn't read my friend's blog so much.  But after I see her post something about something we did, there's no reason for me to post anything anymore.

I drew a picture:

Now that I'm looking at it, it's not as great as I was hoping it would be.  I'm so tired now that I don't even really care.  I don't want to read, I don't have anything to blog about, my nose is driving me insane, and even though I'm tired, I don't want to sleep.  My face feels like it's going to fall off.

Right now I just feel like this

Maybe it is time to read a book.  Darth Paper it is!

And Camping continues....

Mass was normal except for one of the teens sneezed and then there was this chorus of "God bless you!" from everyone at almost exact same time.  I sat next to Princess Purple Mushroom and some older guy I didn't know who wasn't part of the camping trip and was just there to attend daily mass.  But when we entered I felt obligated to sit there next to him because all of the other kids were murmuring about who would sit next to the stranger.

So Mass ended and we got on the bus to go to our destination.  I ended up sitting by myself on the way there because I'm the person that no one ever really wants to team up with.  See, I'm not friends with anyone at my church.  But it's not like I'm not not friends with anyone either.  Everyone has a closer friend or somebody they know better because they go to school together or something.  I'm sure that I would have ridden in my dad's car if there had been more room for me to sit.  But I ended up on the bus sitting next to a window with nothing else but my pens and doodle book.

Which, now you should be a little confused because I said that there wasn't room on the bus for more people which was why they sat in the car in the first place.  It's just my luck that I would get stuck sitting by myself.  There were two empty seats but one of the boys put his guitar in one of them...Except I believe one of the girls ended up sitting next to him so there was really only one empty seat.  Which, of course, was next to me.

But even with seclusion, I refused to let it get to me and ruin my weekend.  I was sure that I would get someone to like me enough to maybe sit next to me.  Thinking about sitting by myself is reminding me about how much I do sit by myself.  It's partly because I choose to.  But I don't want to be sitting by myself, either.

Well, more about camping later.

Hun-Honey-Dew, You Know I Love You...

Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaahhhh.....  So this is what I've done for you today:

So about camping.  I told you it rained but I didn't tell you what happened on the retreat as far as meeting new people.  Except I kinda knew everyone... But not like know, know them.  If you know what I mean.  You know?  Okay, I think you know by now.  A nose only knows what it smells from a rose if the rose has arose in an elegant pose.  MOVING ON.

So the two people I ended up spending the most time with (mostly because I ended up in their tent and we all got rained on etc. etc.) I guess will be known as Princess Purple Mushroom and the Red Checker Queen.  It will make more sense in time why I named them these things.  But they're going to pop up a bit if I'm telling you about Camping.

So, first off, we got to the church parking lot and put stuff in the bus we were taking to the campgrounds.  Most of the people arrived while I was packing stuff into the bus, but a couple others arrived during the daily Mass we attended that morning.

After I packed all my junk, I didn't have much else to do so I took to stomping on ice that had dropped on the ground out of a cooler (Yeah, the ice did NOT come from the sky; much too hot).  Then one of the adults volunteered people to go in my dad's car (My dad was the only one of my family members there) because nobody was willing to volunteer themselves and there apparently wasn't room in the bus for three extra people.  So PPM, RCQ, and this other guy (who, BTW, was the only person I didn't remember from Youth Group) ended up riding with my dad in our Honda.

Then the adults dismissed us to go to the chapel for mass after the packing was complete.

I will continue tomorrow when I have more time.

Camping This Weekend...

Went from :P to :\ to :| to :) to :O to X,P to X( to (N N N> Xo to :)

Here's why:  Rain x mosquitoes + (-shoes) + (-tent) = Daddy...can we go home now?

Except then I wanted to stay because people are nice although some of my surroundings were questionable.  See, we thought that the tents would work and thought that the water would stay out but...No.  Our tents flooded and we couldn't go anywhere while the storm was down-pouring.  So I was joking with the two girls in my tent about the duck from the duck song living in our tent and how we didn't having any grapes to give him because the rain killed them.

After a time the rain lightened and we ran for our lives and hid in the bathrooms until stopped enough for us to run to the rec building without getting drenched.  All of the other kids came there too so we could regroup with the adults about where people would sleep.  I ended up sleeping in a semi-dryish tent.

I'll probably tell you more later but I want to read the Scarlet Letter right now.

Okay Perfectly Apropriate

That's what's going on outside right now :P

Rain, rain, rain again
Why are you such a pain?
Wonder why plants love you
if you turn the dirt into goo

Rain, rain, rain and BOOM
Send those trees to their doom
Down goes one on your car
struck by lightening from the stars

Rain, rain, rain again
Your coming is so plain
By the darkness in the clouds
And the poor sleepy cows

Rain, rain, rain AWAY
So the sun can finally play

I think it speaks for itself.  It was just such a coincidence when I was listening to Windows Media Player and it started playing Average Girl by Barlow Girl.

Good-bye Summer! Hello Summer Jr!

Aka, a very warm fall.  I can't believe it's already October again!  It seems like not that long ago I was dressed up as my sister's twin!  That was a fun Halloween.  But before I drift into talking about past costumes or how beautiful changing leaves are, let's reminisce about this Summer...What happened this Summer:

Tennessee Vacation!

Drama club:

Drama Camp (don't have a photo for this)

Confirmation:

Although, those are the big things that have happened this summer, there have also been smaller events that are none the less important.  Including that my beef jerky went bad last month (Ew!  I didn't know I was supposed to refrigerate it!) and my new discovered love for artists such as J.J. Heller and Barlow Girl.  I love music!

And Ice Cream:

Ice cream is just de-lick-sious!  Okay, that was a really lame joke.  Another highlight to my Summer was DOWNTON ABBEY!!!! Love that show.  *tear* I have to wait until next year to see the next season since it premiers in Britain first.  Which, obviously, I don't live there.

My reading hasn't been very productive this summer, unfortunately.  I've read The Help and I'm pretty far into Twilight but I can't read anymore for the time being since The Scarlet Letter is pleading for me to finish it.  Oh, I also read The Hiding Place.  If you've never read that book, I highly suggest it to you.

Now it's October!  I can't believe it!  I'm going to start tearing up now because it wasn't until the fall that Muppet and I really got to know each other.  That was last year!  It can't have only been a year!  I've known her forever, I swear!  Well, maybe not.  But it certainly seems that long.

October brings Halloween.  And Halloween brings costumes and candy.  I've been everything from a politician to a baby; from cats to bats to spiders to a skeleton to a twin.  I have no idea what it'll be this year.  I'm really not feeling like Halloween anymore.  Last year was when the childhood make-believe and holidays faded for me.  I feel like people lose the true meaning of these holidays.

For instance: Halloween is really about all those who have gone before us and died: saints, martyrs, and just the deceased in general.  It actually has roots to the church and wasn't about candy, dressing up and scaring people.

And Christmas isn't about presents: it's about the birth of Jesus.  People forget that and are just fed candy instead of the true meaning.  These other things that we think of when we think of holidays are just traditions that built up over time until it grew into a national tradition; no, a world wide tradition.

Not that presents and candy are a bad thing.  I love holidays because they bring people together.  I just feel like there needs to be more explanation to these special days really mean and how they came around.  I hope you've learned something today!
